49ers Sign Michael Crabtree

John Clayton of ESPN.com is reporting that the the San Francisco 49ers have signed rookie first round wide receiver Michael Crabtree. According to ESPN.com the deal could be worth as much as 40 million dollars in six years.

Crabtree told reporters that he has a "lot of relief off of his shoulders". Crabtree was wearing the number 15 in his first practice as a 49er. Crabtree will not start next week, and he might see minimal act6ion for the next couple of weeks.

Crabtree wore the number 5 at Texas Tech, and it will be interesting to see how he responds to wearing number 15 in the pros. Crabtree will see his role increase, but for now he will be behind a core rich in depth.
