In the Buccaneers devastating loss against the Patriots across the big pond, the Buccaneers unleashed a new weapon. After a three interception effort second year pro Josh Johnson was benched in favor of rookie Josh Freeman.
The Buccaneers have a week eight bye and it would be the perfect time to make a quarterback change because Freeman would get an extra week to prepare. Freeman, the Buccaneers first round pick out of Kansas State, has the tools to develop into a Pro Bowl caliber player.
The Pewter Report is reporting that Buccaneers head coach Raheem Morris has not yet decided if he will start Josh Johnson or Josh Freeman in week nine. Freeman threw four passes, two of which were completed for 16 yards.
