Chris Mortenson of ESPN.com is reporting that the Dallas Cowboys almost traded tight end Martellus Bennett to the Cincinatti Bengals. The Bengals need more hands at receiver where they lost reggie Kelly and Ben Utecht.
The Cowboys and Bengals did not make a trade in time for Tuesday's trade deadline. The Bengals apparently asked the Cowboys about Bennett on Tuesday, and the Cowboys rejected their offer.
Cowboys owner said that the Bengals offered at least one premium draft pick for Bennett. And of course Marty B responded on twitter.
"Ha the bengals tried to trade for me?ochocinco Marty b woulda been a ruckus. I love being a cowboy tho this is home I love this team."
