"You can watch the tape," Ryan said. "I'm not saying anything, but man, maybe the posts were crooked. Look at it."
When I watched the highlights, I really can't argue with Ryan, it did look like the field goal was missed. Two players on Cleveland's roster, Eric Wright and Brandon McDonald, were celebrating as they thought the kick was off the mark. But it appears that is not the case.
"I don't want to get fined," Ryan said. "I pay enough money already on the house I don't even live in California. I don't want to make this a big story, but I was disappointed. Of course, I'm not an expert. That's why I'm saying maybe somebody else should look at it."
Trust me Rob, I really don't think you'll suspended. NFL Spokesman Greg Aiello was observing the kick and claims that Graham's field goal was good.
"The field judge standing right underneath the upright called it good, and we have reviewed multiple video from different angles and have seen nothing to dispute that call," Aiello said in an e-mail response.
Points out the source from NFL.com:
Mike Pereira, the NFL's vice president of officiating, told NFL Network on Wednesday the league had preliminary talks in the offseason about extending the length of the uprights to help officials determine if field-goal attempts are good or not. However, he's confident in the system of two officials positioning themselves underneath the goal post to make the call. It's actually a good idea. But you can't change the past.
Ryan was also asked if Braylon Edwards thinks the kick was missed. I think that sounds idiotic of the person who asked that. But it was later found that Edwards thought it was missed too. Edwards was recently traded to the New York Jets.
The Browns stand at last place in the AFC North. They're playing better right now after the Bengals' game, and hopefully, they can make a stand in their division.
