Mike Sando of ESPN.com is reporting that the Seattle Seahawks have released offensive tackle Kyle Williams. Williams started last Sunday at tackle, and he has spent a lot of time on and off this season on the practice squad and the active roster.
The Seahawks released guard Mark Lewis from their practice squad, and it would not be surprising to see Williams re-signed to the practice squad. Williams has been signed then cut three times since the start of October.
The move likely means that newly signed tackle Damion McIntosh is ready for action at tackle. If Walter Jones can't play on Sunday, then McIntosh will get the start at left tackle. McIntosh played in Kansas City in 2008.
