Ed Bouchette of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette is reporting that the Pittsburgh Steelers have signed running back Issac Redman. Redman was signed to replace running back Willie Parker, who will not play due to turf toe.
Redman became a goal line threat this preseason after consistently scoring touchdowns in the end zone. Scout.com is reporting that the Steelers have released Nick Eason to make room for Redman.
According to Bouchette, the Steelers will have to pay all of Eason's 2009 salary. The release of Eason was made possible by rookie first round pick Ziggy Hood, who has been playing behind Eason this season.
