The Miami Dolphins have announced that they have released linebacker William Kershaw and signed linebacker J.D. Foslum from their practice squad. Foslum has spent all of the 2009 season on the Dolphins practice squad.
Foslum was selected in the seventh round of the 2009 NFL draft out of Weber State. Foslum will add depth at inside linebacker, and will add a boost on special teams. The Dolphins need depth inside after an injury to Channing Crowder.
Foslum will likely be the Dolphins number three inside linebacker behind Reggie Torbor and Akin Ayodele until Crowder returns.
