Dolphins Sign Tight end

Aaron Wilson of the National Football Post is reporting that the Miami Dolphins have signed tight end Kory Sperry. Sperry was on the Dolphins practice squad. Sperry has not recorded any NFL stats.

Sperry replaces linebacker J.D. Foslum on the 53-man roster. Sperry will add depth at tight end, where the Dolphins are dealing with Anthony Fasano's hip injury. Besides Fasano, the Dolphins also have Joey Haynos.

Sperry can also help out on special teams, which seems to be the reason he was promoted from the practice squad instead of rookie John Nalbone. Sperry will see even more time on special teams with linebacker Erik Walden out.
