The Philadelphia Eagles have announced that they have placed cornerback Ellis Hobbs on injured reserve. Jeremy Maclin will replace Hobbs on kick returns, and Joselio Hanson will replace Hobbs on defense.
Hobbs is in his first season as a Philadelphia Eagle, after a couple seasons as a New England Patriots. Hobbs will either be a restricted free agent or an unrestricted free agent at the end of the season.
I would not be surprised if he signed elsewhere. Hobbs has already started 47 games in his young career, and he could be a hot commodity spring of 2010. Hobbs also has an NFL record in his bags.
