This just in. The Vikings are for real. With the most talented roster in the NFL, Brett Favre organized a Peyton Manning caliber passing camp as the Vikings blew past the Seahawks this afternoon.
Favre, whom Viking fans were begging to hand the ball of on long yardage situations during October, completed 22 of 25 passes and threw for 313 yards and four touchdowns. Favre completed an astounding 88% of his passes, a career high.
Favre did not throw an interception and he kept an 8.5 yard average per pass play. Favre engineered 17 passing first downs and was 8 of 13 on third downs. Favre hit tight end Visanthe Shiance 8 out of ten times.
Sidney Rice was on the receiving end of two of Favre's touchdown passes. Under Favre, Rice has turned into a budding star. Rice caught 6 of 7 passes thrown his way. Percy Harvin caught five of five passes in his direction.
