After recent reports that former head coach of Notre Dame Charlie Weis had cleaned out his office, the Fighting Irish announced today that Weis has been fired as the head football coach of Notre Dame.
Weis can now look at coaching jobs in the NFL as an offensive coordinator, or coaching jobs in the NCAA as the head coach. The Fighting Irish will now search for a new head coach. Weis has been rumored to be destined with the Patriots, Panthers, Chiefs, Colts, and Browns.
According to a press release, Weis did not meet expectations while at Notre Dame. Weis worked as the Patriots offensive coordinator before he was the head coach at Notre Dame. In New England he was credited with the creation of Tom Brady.
