The Ravens were torched by Peyton Manning on sunday, and beleave it or not, things will be getting worse. The Ravens have announced that they have placed starting cornerback Fabian Washington on injured reserve.
Washington was dealing with a knee injury. Frank Walker will likely replace Washington at cornerback. Walker already got some game time in week ten, when the Ravend decided to bench Washington.
The Ravens signed cornerback Cary Williams to take Washington's spot on the 53-man roster. Williams has been on and off of the Titans active roster and practice squad in 2009. Williams will add depth at corner.
Lardarius Webb and Chris Carr will also see more time at corner in nickel and dime situations. Webb is the Ravens top kick returner, and he has some of the fastest wheels in the NFL. Carr was expectged to be the Ravens top returner, but struggled in his move from Tennessee.
The Ravens also placed fullback Matt Lawrence on injure reserve, and signed free agent fullback Charles Ali. Ali played with the Cleveland Browns in 2008, and will back up Le' Ron McClain in Baltimore.
