The Las Vegas Locomotives have announced that they have signed defensive tackle Shaun Smith. Smith last played with the Detroit Lions, but he was released before the start of the 2009 season.
To make room for Smith, the Locos placed former Arizona Cardinals defensive tackle Wendell Bryant on injured reserve. Smith was the most talented free agent on the market, but he has some serious issues to deal with.
Smith was involved in a fight with Browns quarterback Brady Quinn, ultimately leading to his release. Many around the league would not touch Smith, even with his immense talent, because of the damage he could do to their locker room.
