The Pittsburgh Steelers have an awful special teams unit. Everyone knows it, and everyone seems to exploit it. Now they are trying to do something about it. The Steelers have signed linebacker Rocky Boiman and cornerback Corey Ivy.
To make room for Boiman and Ivy, the Steelers released cornerback Kewein Ratliff and linebacker Donavan Woods. Ratliff added depth at cornerback and safety, and had a role on special teams.
In addition to those moves, the Steelers signed guard/tackle Jonathan Palmer to their practice squad, and released running back Justin Vincent from their practice squad. Palmer was added due to the Steelers recent injuries at guard.
