Steve Slaton Back As A Starter

The Houston Chronicle is reporting that the Houston Texans have moved running back Steve Slaton back into the starting line up. Slaton replaces Ryan Moats, who stole Slaton's starting job earlier this year.

Slaton will get the bulk of the carries, while Moats will spell Slaton on occasion. Chris Brown will get short yardage and goaline carries as well. After a great rookie season, Slaton has not managed to duplicate his 2008 success.

On 116 carries Slaton has rushed for 359 yards with a 3.1 yard average, and he has compiled three touchdowns. Moats has run 54 times for 220 yards with a 4.1 yard average, and he also has three touchdowns.
