Chiefs Place Kolby Smith On IR

The Kansas City Chiefs announced that they have placed running back Kolby Smith on injured reserve. Smith started this season on the PUP list, but he was signed to the active roster after the Chiefs released Larry Johnson.

To take Smith's spot on the roster, the Chiefs signed rookie running back Jarvarris Williams. Williams was promoted from the Chiefs practice squad. Williams was drafted in the seventh round of this years draft.

Williams will be the only true running back who will be active tommorow, starter Jamaal Charles is the other. Dantrell Savage will not play tommorow while he is recovering from an injury. Tim Castille, who is normally a fullback will also be used at running back.
