Fox Sports is reporting that Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Chris Henry has been placed on life support after he was involved in an accident in North Carolina. Henry was rumored to be dead earlier today.
Henry was placed on injured reserve earlier this season, and this new injury could be career threatening. According to police, Henry was found on a road in Charlotte with life threatening injuries.
According to reports. Henry jumped from the back of his truck as his fiancee was driving away. Henry was taken to a Charlotte area hospital, while homicide detectives were called to the crime scene. Henry's injuries appeared to be head injuries from early reports.
According to Joe Reedey, Henry's mom will be landing in Charlotte shortly. According to TMZ, the couple was bragging on MySpace about how excited they were about the planned wedding. TMZ is also reporting that Henry had just bought a ring for his fiancee.
