Isaac Bruce To Retire, Could Start Last Game

Jim Thomas of the St. Louis Post Dispatch is reporting that San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Isaac Bruce will likely retire after the season. According to Thomas, Bruce is 75% sure he will retire after the season.

Josh Morgan has been starting at wide receiver in Bruce's place in 2009. Morgan told the Sacramento Bee that he would let Bruce start in week 17. Michael Crabtree and Morgan have shown they are the 49ers future at wide receiver.

Bruce has the second most receiving yards in NFL history, but most of his yards came when he was playing in St. Louis, during the greatest show on turf. Bruce, 37, has been a healthy scratch in six games this season.
