Andrea Kremer of NBC is reporting that the Washington Redskins have interviewed their secondary coach Jerry Gray for their head coaching vacancy. The Redskins interviewed Gray to comply with the NFL's "Rooney Rule".
Many around the league think that the Redskins are using Gray, and that Gray is not a serious candidate for the Redskins head coaching vacancy. The Redskins are rumored to be halfway in bed with the idea of Mike Shanahan as their next head coach.
Redskins defensive coordinator Greg Blache did not interview for the Redskins job. The "Rooney Rule" states that the team must interview minority candidates for head coach and front office vacancies.
