The Contra Costa Time is reporting that San Francisco 49ers will look to add a quarterback through the draft or through free agency. Mike Singletary named Alex smith the quarterbacks moving forward.
But! Singletary said the team is always looking to upgrade at any position, which means that the 49ers are looking to add a quarterback. Smith was drafted with the first overall pick in the 2005 draft.
After not playing in 2007, Smith got action midway through the season in the place of Shaun Hill. The 49ers added a spread & shotgun offense that tricked defenses. Quarterbacks that could be avalible include, Kevin Kolb and Jason Campbell.
