Howard Eskin of Sports Final on WIP radio is reporting that Eagles running back Brian Westbrook is thinking about retiring.According to Eskin, Westbrook's left knee may force him to hang up the cleats.
Westbrook is scheduled to make $7.5 million dollars next season, and even if he does not retire, the Eagles may decide to trade or release Westbrook. Westbrook would be replaced by LeSean McCoy.
The Eagles would also have to add another running back to take some pressure off of McCoy. Westbrook only ran for 271 yards in 2009. Westbrook has never played a full season in his NFL career.
