The Greenville News is reporting that Chicago Bears defensive end Gaines Adams has died. Adams, 26, apparently died from a heart attack. Adams was taken to Self Regional Hospital In Greenwood S.C.
Adams was the fourth overall pick in the 2007 NFL draft after a standout career with Clemson. Derrick Brooks wrote on his twitter in a tweet to former Buccaneer Cato June, that Adams seemed letdown about being traded to the bears.
Here is the tweet: "@CatoJune59 dude send me any Gaines news boy did he seem too let down about trade i thought he was over it n gettin ready for offseason." It could be possible that stress from the trade could have been a factor in this horrible accident.

Also, it is interesting to me, that Bengals wide receiver Chris Henry was tragically killed in the same area that Adams died in.
