The Indianapolis Colts have announced that they have demoted cornerback Jerraud Powers from questionable to doubtful. Undrafted free agent rookie Jacob Lacey will start if Powers can't go.
Powers' left foot injury kept him out of practice all week. With Lacey starting out wide, Tim Jennings will now take up Lacey's duties in the slot. Powers replaced Marlin Jackson this season, after Jackson spent all season with the injury bug.
Powers has recorded 65 tackles, one interception and ten pass breakups in 2009. Lacey has recorded 85 tackles, three interceptions, and 13 pass breakups. Jennings has recorded 57 tackles, intercepted two passes, and deflected ten passes.
