Eagles Could Trade Kevin Kolb

2 Minutes To Midnight Green is reporting that the Philadelphia Eagles could trade quarterback Kevin Kolb this offseason. According to Adam Caplan of Scout.com, the Eagles will either re-sign or trade Kolb this offseason.

To me trading Kolb sounds like an awful idea. Why not just trade Michael Vick? Vick has a much higher salary, and he does not provide the Eagles with a young pocket passer that they need. Vick is just a gimmick toy.

2 Minutes To Midnight Green mentions Oakland, Minnesota, Cleveland, Washington, St. Louis, Seattle, Carolina, and Buffalo as possible landing spots for Kolb. Minnesota catches my eye right away, with Kolb having previous knowledge of Chillys scheme.

I could see a team like St. Louis trading for Kolb, the Rams don't like spending big money on quarterbacks, and Kolb brings a lot of value for little money, and a lot of potential. I'm ruling out Washington, the Iggles want to get Kolb out of the division.

  1. Panthers trade the #1 pick in the draft for Kolb and the Eagles first round pick.

  2. I could see the Pnathers and the Eagles swapping first round picks with Kolb going to Carolina.
