Tom Kowalski of Michigan Live is reporting that the Detroit Lions could trade for Kansas City chiefs defensive linemen Glenn Dorsey. Dorsey was drafted by the Chiefs while current Lions defensive coordinator Gunther Cunningham was still coaching the Chiefs.
Dorsey is being used as a 3-4 defensive end in Kansas City, but he is a much better fit inside in a 4-3 scheme, which the Lions use. The Lions are looking for help at defensive tackle, where Sammie Lee and Grady Jackson did not impress in 2009.
Kowalski thinks the Lions could do something "creative" to land Dorsey, he mentioned swapping second round picks. First year player Alex Magee will likely replace Dorsey at end if he were to be traded.
