Jets Want Braylon Edwards To Sign Elsewhere?

Bob Glauber of Newsday.com is reporting that the New York Jets want a team to sign Braylon Edwards from them this offseason. According to Glauber, the Jets will tender Edwards with the highest tender, and hope that a team signs him.

Were a team to tender Edwards, they would have to give up a first and a third round pick. That is almost as bad of a deal as the Roy Williams' trade. Edwards is scheduled to become a RFA this offseason if a new CBA can't be reached.

Edwards has struggled to stay consistant since he was drafted in 2005. Edwards' focus and concentration have been brought to light aftrer he has struggled with drops the last two seasons.
