Kurt Warner Announces Retirment

The Associated Press is reporting that Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kurt Warner has announced his retirement from the NFL. Warner, 38, won two Super Bowls with the St. Louis Rams.

Warner lead the Cardinals to back-to-back playoff births the last two seasons, which included an incredible Super Bowl run in 2008. Warner had one year left on his mega contract that he signed after last year's Super Bowl run.

Warner will be replaced by Matt Leinart, who has spent his last two seasons backing up Warner. Leinart spent his first two seasons in Arizona as apart-time starter at quarterback. The offense under Leinart will be much more run oriented.
