Mike Martz Interveiws With Bears

Sean Jenson of the Chicago Sun-Times is reporting that the Chicago Bears have interviewed Mike Martz for their offensive coordinator role. Martz is interviewing to replace Ron Turner, who was fired early on this offseason.

Martz last coach as the San Francisco 49ers offensive coordinator in 2008. In 2007 and 2006 he served as the offensive coordinator for the Detroit Lions. The Bears have been rumored to be interested in Saints tight ends coach Terry Malone, and Colts offensive coordinator Clyde Christensen.

Yesterday the Bears interviewed Minnesotta Vikings quarterbacks coach Kevin Rogers for their offensive coordinator spot. It is interesting that Martz is interviewing on the same day that Kurt Warner retires. Coincidence? I think not.
