Armando Salguero of the Miami Herald is reporting that Arizona Cardinals free safety Antrel Rolle could sign with the Miami Dolphins this offseason. The Dolphins current free safety is Gibril Wilson.
The Dolphins could release Wilson this offseason, because he struggled in coverage this season. Wilson is best suited for strong safety. Wilson recorded 91 tackles last season, but he failed to record an interception.
Rolle, a former cornerback, has solid ball skills, and recorded four interceptions in 2009. Wilson is a solid box safety, who would fit well as a bridge for a younger player into a starting lineup.
