2010 Free Agency Preveiw: Quarterbacks

Without a salary cap, the 2010 crop of free agents looks bleak, but there could be more players available for trades, and more players will be released. Here is a list of the top ten quarterbacks scheduled to be unrestricted free agents at the start of free agency.
  1. Chad Pennington - Likely will leave the Dolphins. The Jets and the Cardinals could be interested.

  2. David Carr - Backed up Manning in 2009, I expect he will in 2010.

  3. Daunte Culpepper - Will look for a starting job elsewhere. Will likely end up re-signing with the Lions.

  4. Chris Redman - The Falcons want him back, but he could have a chance to start a couple games elsewhere.
  5. Rex Grossman - Beat out Dan Orlovsky and could return if the Texans cut Orlovsky.

  6. Charlie Batch - I'm surprised that the Steelers will re-sign him.

  7. Kyle Boller - I do not think he will return to St. Louis, but there is still a possibility, especially with Bulger's likely release.

  8. Jeff Garcia - Did not play in 2009, shows how sad the free agent crop is.

  9. A.J. Feeley - It is really sad that Feeley is still in the league.

  10. Mark Brunell - Started in week seventeen, which I think will be his last NFL game.
