The Kansas City Chiefs have announced that they have released offensive guard Mike Goff and re-signed running back Kolby Smith and quarterback Matt Guiterrez. Goff started 7 games in 2009.
Smith will serve as the primary backup to Jamaal Charles, unless the chiefs decide to add a running back in the draft or free agency (LT anyone?). Guiterrez will serve as the Chiefs third quarterback.
As of now, Wade Smith will be penciled in as the starter at guard until the Chiefs can land another option.
