The Philadelphia Daily News is reporting that the Philadelphia Eagles have hired former AFL quarterback Matt Nagy as a coaching assistant. Nagy was signed by the Eagles last offseason, but there was a catch.
Nagy was serving as a coaching intern when he was signed by the Eagles, leading the NFL to void his contract. Nagy started his pro career with the New York Dragons (AFL), and then signed with the Carolina Cobras two seasons latter.
Nagy had a 115.11 quarterback rating in the AFL, which is a high scoring league. Nagy, 31, is putting his playing career behind him.
