Eagles May Release Stacy Andrews

Paul Domowitch of the Philadelphia Daily News is reporting that the Philadelphia Eagles will release offensive lineman Stacy Andrews if he does not accept a pay cut. Andrews will make $5.5 million in 2010.

Andrews signed a six-year contract last year after he previously played with the Cincinnati Bengals. Andrews had surgery to repair a torn ACL just two months after he signed his contract. Andrews will receive a $4.1 million bonus in April.

Nick Cole replaced Andrews at guard in 2009, and he would likely start in 2010 if Andrews is released. Andrews has never played a whole NFL season, and appears to be very injury prone.
