Jay Glazer of Fox Sports is reporting that former Denver Broncos linebacker Bill Romanowski is interviewing with Mike Shanahan to be the Redskins strength and conditioning coordinator. Last season, Romanowski expressed his interest in coaching the Broncos.
Romanowski owns Nutrition 53, a company that produces nutrition supplements. Romanowski admitted to using steroids when he was still playing in the NFL. Obviously the stir around the Redskins would be a distraction, were Washington to hire Romanowski.
Romanowski was able to enjoy a long NFL career, even though some people credit his steroid use to his long career, it is hard to deny that 16 seasons is not impressive. The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette is reporting that Romanowski is not the top candidate for the job.
