The San Diego Chargers have announced that they have signed free agent wide receiver Josh Reed. The Chargers announced that the deal was one year long.
San Diego is obviously using the signing as leverage against Vincent Jackson's holdout. The Chargers signed Tra Thomas earlier this week to get leverage against Marcus McNeil's holdout.
“We are excited to have Josh join us,” said Chargers General Manager A.J. Smith. “He was a consistent performer in Buffalo for many years. With his experience, he will be a solid compliment to our receiving corps.”

Yeah. Right.
San Diego is just using these players, and when they finally sign Marcus McNeil and Vincent Jackson, Thomas and Reed will be released.
