The New York Jets are not being secretive about their interest in former New England Patriots outside linebacker Adalius Thomas. The Jets are looking at linebackers with starter Calvin Pace expected to miss 4-6 weeks.
Rich Cimini of ESPN New York is reporting that the Jets will sign Thomas to a veteran minimum contract in the next couple of days. Thomas has confirmed that he has talked to Ryan, and he "hopes we will know something soon."
Jason Taylor will start opposite Bryan Thomas while Pace is out. Ryan once called Adalius Thomas the smartest player he ever coached.
