The Hartford Colonials have signed former NFL running back Kevin Jones and the Omaha Nighthawks have signed former NFL safety Jermaine Phillips the UFL announced. The Nighthawks also signed cornerback Corey Ivy.
Jones visited with the Rams last week, but he did not sign with the team. To make room for Jones the Colonials released cornerback Marcus Brown. The Colonials also released running back Dwayne Wright.
To make room for Phillips and Ivy, the Nighthawks released defensive end Nic Clemons and cornerback DeJuan Tribble. The Las Vegas Locomotives also announced the addition of cornerback Coye Francies.
