The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have confirmed that they have released punter Chris Bryan and announced that they signed free agent punter Robert Malone. Bryan averaged 37.4 yards per punt in four games this season.
Malone was one of the three punters the Buccaneers worked out yesterday. T.J. Conley and Brent Bowden were the others. Longsnapper Mike Windt also worked out for the Buccaneers on Monday.
Conley spent training camp with the Jets, Windt with the Bengals, Bowden with the Buccaneers, and Malone with the Jaguars. Bowden was drafted in the sixth round by the Buccaneers in this year's draft.
